An Introduction to Motivation

Motivation in a workplace can be a very critical aspect that has a direct role to play in the performance and efficiency of a company. The companies which do not pay attention to employee motivation can be at a very disadvantageous situation. In order to meet the goals of the company, people should be driven to work. If proper motivation is lacking, companies will be in a precarious position.

Employees who are motivated are known to provide higher output levels and increase productivity. If one individual is not motivated to work, the investment made by the company in the form of resources and time will be all a waste. If this situation is generalised to most of the employees, the failure of the company is evident. No employer would want his/her to suffer this fate.
